Andrea Chapman's Testimony:

I was born ninth of a family of ten. Praise God we had a Godly mother through whose prayers God graciously saved most of her family. I attended Sunday school from an early age, and being a very competitive person I knew the scriptures from an early age, and because of this I won many prizes at Sunday school.

But the knowledge that I had was only a head knowledge of Gods word, I might have known God’s word, but I did not know the God of the word. When I left school at 15 years of age I also left Sunday school Now I was all grown up, or so I thought, I had a passion for dancing, and could be found most nights at one of the local dance halls, but never on a Sunday.

Still in the background was my mother praying faithfully, I started to attend church regularly just to please her. I eventually got married and had three lovely daughters. Meanwhile my brother David had moved to Australia got married and had a family of his own. Soon after moving he became a Christian, and when I went out to visit him I saw a wonderful change in his life, and through his witness God spoke to me in a very real way. He showed me that his hand had been on my life, and that he loved me very much, so much that he died for me. What a wonderful Saviour.

On David’s birthday March 7th I realised that I was a sinner and needed saved, so I cried unto God for forgiveness and asked him to come into my life. When I returned home to N. Ireland I found that God had already prepared a church for me with a work among the boys and girls there. Later on in life he led me to become an active member of Faith in Action Missions. It’s a wonderful challenging work reaching out to others with the great news of God’s redeeming love.

Truly my mother’s prayers were not in vain for me, Jesus was there all the time waiting patiently for me to trust in him. Now I am a praying mother who knows that we really do have a God who hears and answers prayer. . Will you trust the Jesus that I know and love so much?
