Laura Fleming's Testimony:

My name is Laura and I am 23 years old. When I was a child my mum sent me to Sunday school even though my parent’s weren’t saved. My parent’s didn’t attend church with us; when I was 9 years old my dad repented and God saved him. Immediately his whole life changed, he stopped drinking, smoking, his attitude had changed, the atmosphere in our house changed.

My dad asked me to go to church with him and we went together. My mum was saved shortly after him. And my dad started to speak to me about God, he told me I was a sinner and that Jesus died for me and that if I wanted to go to heaven, I had to say a prayer and ask Jesus to forgive me and come into my heart and save me. He gave me a little book called ‘journey into life’ and told me to read it and if I wanted to accept Jesus then I can say the little prayer at the back of the book. So I read the book and I decided to accept Jesus. I knew if God could make a change to my life like he did with my dad’s life then I wanted to know him more. And shortly after that my older sister also accepted him.

When I was 14, we had 2 Byelorussian girls who came to stay with us for 3 days over Christmas and we had a wonderful experience, the Lord placed a desire in my heart and my parent’s to work with the people from Belarus and so when I was 17 I went to Belarus for the first time and we started to work and serve God there. Now we also work in Ukraine. I thought I was too young to serve God but the Lord gave me the verse from Jeremiah chapter 1 verse 6 – 9 ‘Then said I, ‘Ah, Lord God! Behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child.

But the Lord said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak. Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the Lord. Then the Lord put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the Lord said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth.’

Serving God is fulfilling spiritually and will make you stronger and more aware of other people’s circumstances in life and if you’re saved then I can recommend serving God and giving him your life so he can mould you into the person he wants you to be for him.
